The Parent-Child Interaction Center & Canopy Counseling
a website redesign project
SUMMARY
A full redesign and live Wix implementation focused on making therapy more accessible. I simplified site navigation, designed a dedicated insurance page, and rebuilt the therapist directory to support easy therapist selection while creating a unified, calming visual experience that reflects the organization's supportive mission.

THE CHALLENGE
The existing site struggled with inconsistency across the board. Mismatched page layouts, unpredictable typography, and excessive blank space made the experience feel fragmented and unpolished. The footer was largely underutilized, missing key navigation and contact details that users needed.

WHAT WAS WORKING
The original site had a solid foundation to build from. The color palette was cohesive and well-aligned with the organization's brand, the header navigation was clear and easy to use, and key information was thoughtfully repeated across pages allowed for accessiblity across.

THE SOLUTION
To better reflect P-CIC's supportive mission and improve the overall user experience, I proposed and implemented core improvements centered around accessibility, clarity, and visual cohesion.
A dedicated insurance information page was designed and built from the ground up — giving prospective clients a clear, reassuring place to understand their coverage options. I also developed a therapist directory filter, allowing users to easily browse by specialty including individual, couples, family, child, and teen & adolescent counselors.
To reduce friction in the path to care, I introduced multiple clearly marked CTAs throughout the site — creating several intuitive pathways to the "Get Matched with a Therapist" form. These changes, paired with a unified visual design, transformed the site into a cohesive and confidence-inspiring experience for anyone taking their first step toward therapy.
